Keynote Speaker
Prof Jacek Kot, MD, PHD
Prof. Dr. Jacek Kot is a specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care and currently he is full time Professor in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine at Medical University of Gdansk, Poland serving also as the Chief of Research and Development of the National Centre for Hyperbaric Medicine in Gdynia, Poland. The Centre is equipped with several multiplace hyperbaric chambers, a dry saturation simulator with a ‘wet pot’, as well as the 6-bed Intensive Care Unit within the University Hospital. Jacek Kot is the present President of the European Committee for Hyperbaric Medicine (ECHM), and from 2015 till 2018 he was the President of the European Underwater and Baromedical Society (EUBS). He has been involved in the international cooperation between European diving and hyperbaric centres (COST-B14, OXYNET, PHYPODE, DAN), as well as in the UHMS International Web-based Education Initiative. His professional interests include mainly HBOT in deep dives and saturation decompressions, as well as critically ill patients, especially with severe soft tissue infections.

Course Description:
This course is designed as a Refresher module for EDTC Level 1 (Medical Examiner of Divers). This will be a revision of the Level 1 syllabus together with updates in diving medicine topics.
Course Requirements:
1. Have completed a EDTC Level 1 course / Refresher Course within last 5 years
2. Log book of diving medicine activities (attached: Logbook aMED)
A Certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.

Workshop Description:
An educational and practical workshop on monoplace chamber. Participants will learn from the expert in using monoplace chamber for various indications including using for critically ill patients. Learn clinical insights, safe practices and have practical experience at a local monoplace hyperbaric unit during the workshop.

Koh Samui has an airport, Samui International Airport (Code: USM).The easiest, fastest and most comfortable way to travel to Koh Samui is taking a fight. There are direct flights from several locations in Thailand, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Krabi. There are several international direct flights from locations like Singapore & Hong Kong

The Scientific Programme Committee of the 17th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Asian Hyperbaric dan Diving Medical Association 2024 invites authors to submit abstracts for presentation at the ASM AHDMA 2024. Submissions are sought for oral presentations and posters.
